Ryan Potvin

Ryan is a Colorado native with a bloodline in real estate. An entrepreneur with big ideas, he has always found himself captivated by the built environment. In 2005, after graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Ryan moved to San Francisco, CA to co-found a prominent green real estate consulting firm, Environmental Building Strategies.

Ryan led EBS for nearly a decade and during his tenure saved commercial owners millions of dollars in operating costs by cutting down on energy, water, and waste in their buildings. His consulting portfolio consists of over 65 million square feet of real estate and includes, at the time, the most extensive renovation of an existing building to Net Zero Energy in the United States. Ryan has managed both new construction and existing building efficiency upgrades for large portfolios of public and private real estate companies. In 2013, the company was ranked the 25th Fastest Growing Private Company in the Bay Area.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys physically challenging himself on all of Colorado’s mountains and is up for any challenge on a bike or skis. Together with his wife, Maddie, he is building out a Sprinter van to support their mutual love for adventure and the outdoors.
